3rd Quarter

Hopefully you have all had a chance to look over your child's report card.  I am proud of the work the children are doing.  They are all trying very hard.  If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.  I would be happy to meet with you.

As the third quarter begins, here are some tips for helping your child do well:

  • Please make sure that they are in school.  If they are sick, they should stay home, but please try your hardest to have them here on time.  It is very hard to make up many of our lessons.  Most of our work is not done with worksheets anymore.  We spend lots of times discussing and learning together.
  • Help your child to complete their homework each week, including 100 minutes of home reading.  Take turns reading to and listening to your child read.
  • Check your child's homework folder each week.  Review papers with them.  Help them understand what they may have missed on papers or celebrate what they did well.
Let me know if I can help you with anything.  Thanks for all you do!
