Conferences....

Don't forget that this week is parent/student/teacher conferences.  If you are unsure of what time your conference is, please contact Mrs. Brown.  I look forward to seeing you.

Also, please remember that due to conferences, there is no school Thursday or Friday.  Next week, March 23-27, is spring break.  Enjoy!

Fire Safety...

Today we got to have Firefighter Dave with us again.  Since our school is bursting at the seams, there is literally no place to have an assembly like this.  So, we got to squeeze 145 kids into one classroom.  We had to move our desks out of the way so that there would be enough space.  Once the desks were out of the way...we had quite the stage for an impromptu dance party.

 

 

After our quick dance party Firefighter Dave joined us.  Today, he spoke to us about 9-1-1.  He talked about the importance of kids knowing their phone number and address.  He gave us some demonstrations on how to use different kinds of phones to call 9-1-1.  Isn't it interesting to think that many students do not know how to use a landline phone anymore??!?!?

 

We love having Firefighter Dave come in!  Talk to you kids about ways to stay safe!
