Time to go...

Well, it's the time of year to say goodbye.  We had a wonderful class this year.  I absolutely enjoyed getting to know each of the students.  They are all so fun and full of personality.  It is amazing how different everyone can be, but kids are so good at finding ways to relate to each other.  I love watching them grow socially and academically.  It has been my pleasure to teach them this year.

We had a very fitting send off when we were visited by the Canyon Ridge High School graduates.  We lined the halls and cheered as they walked by.  I let the students know that my highest hopes for them are that they work hard and graduate.  I hope they find something they love in life and that it makes them so happy.

Thanks for letting me be a part of your lives!

Living Wax Museum

We had such a great time participating in the Living Wax Museum.  The kids were so well prepared.  I was so proud of each of them.

Students spent a couple of weeks choosing and researching a famous person to study.  They wrote out biography information on their person.  They used all of that information to write out a character speech.  They memorized that speech and then presented it to everyone in attendance at our museum.

Camp Read and Feed

Camp Read and Feed has been a success.  Thank you to all the parents who helped their students prepare.  A BIG thank you to parents who sent in camp mail.  Your kids were SO excited!

BATS

We did a great research and writing project on bats.  Students spent time working together to research bats.  We read books, watched video clips, and searched the internet.  Students put all of their research together to create great posters.  I was really proud of the students.  They worked very hard with their partners.

Snowball Fight

The month of May has a magic way of making it really hard to stay focused on school.  Mrs. Brown's class has been working SO hard each day.  They are earning prizes to reward them for their great work.  One of their best prizes...SNOWBALL FIGHT!!!

AR Reward

Statton and Axton both earned the opportunity to read a book to another class.  Statton read to Mrs. Stanger's AM kindergarten class.  Axton read Mrs. Stanger's PM kindergarten class.  Great job boys!
